bathrooms... --not ready...

So. Today I went and picked up a (used) new to me, free microwave from Craigslist. Shanks db. Interestingly, this is my second Craigslist microwave in less than two weeks, due to the fact that gravity destroyed the first, much more costly one. My kitchen floor linoleum has an ouchie to prove it.
Anywho. This morning I had my normal EmergenC and two cups of coffee before going to pick up said new free microwave, such that by the time that I got there, my bladder was up to my ears.
I called the Craigslist girl, and when she finally came down to the door, I said, "Hi, I know you are doing something lovely, and giving me your unwanted small kitchen appliance for no monetary payment, but could I possibly be more greedy, and also use your facilities...?" The lovely Craigslist girl replied to me, "Oh sorry, my bathroom isn't really ready,.... but you can use this one down here, which is a common restroom....."
At that point I didn't really care, since my bladder was screaming.
But then later, I pondered. What exactly did she mean by 'not ready?' I think she meant that she didn't have running water, or maybe no toilet bowl? Too much jiggling of the handle after flushing? Since she lived on the sixth floor, perhaps the plumber hadn't yet gotten a pipe up there yet?
I found that slightly off.
But the common bathroom was quite nice, and also included a shower stall.
